Belarus will direct the export of agricultural products from the EU market to Russia and China with the strengthening of sanctions.

Belarus will painlessly reorient the supplies of agricultural products from Europe to other markets, primarily the Russian Federation and China, in the event of strengthening European sanctions.

“If the sanctions issues grow and the markets close, we will painlessly move to similar markets. Our main partner is the Russian Federation, and now the bias is being made on the PRC, ”the Minister of Agriculture of Belarus said.

“We trade in the proportions we have. In fact, 84% of food products go to the CIS countries. Of these, 73% are the Russian Federation, 16% are third countries” - the minister said. He stressed that over the five months of 2021, sales of products for export to China increased by 50%.
